The 2010 Downtown Beautification Day was held on November 6. The cleanup event was done in collaboration with the Carbondale Main Street fall flower bed planting. Several SIUC students spent their Saturday morning collecting litter over a two block radius from the downtown pavilion.  Volunteers were assigned areas relative to their group size. After their litter cleanup, a few individuals went on to join the Carbondale Main Street crew with clearing the flower beds along the square.
