It's about that time to do away with your old phone books in preparation for the new year. Phone books can be recycled along with other paper recyclables, but they can sometimes be too bulky for our household bins. In that case, keep watch for our phone book recycling drive that begins on December 13, 2010 through to January 31, 2011 at your nearest grocery store. Any interested volunteers should contact us. You can also drop off phone books at Southern Recycling at your convenience.

KCB is looking for people to help cleanup the Strip and surrounding area the Sunday after the Lights Fantastic Parade. With all the wonderful festivities the night before, our community needs some help with litter debris. The cleanup will not last long; maybe an hour or so (depending on the number of people).
