Green Earth, Inc. Pyles Fork Preserve Cleanup
In March 2010, Keep Carbondale Beautiful partnered with Green Earth,Inc. to beautify Carbondale. Within 2 workdays, over 60 volunteers collected over 2,000 pounds of litter debris along Piles Fork Preserve.
Green Earth is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization whose mission "is to acquire and preserve natural areas in the vicinity of Carbondale, Illinois, and provide access for public enjoyment and education. We strive to preserve these areas for future generations, and encourage public input and participation for these objectives."
Keep Carbondale Beautiful continues to assist with various litter clean-ups across Green Earth sites around the Carbondale community.
